Various types of recharge cards have slightly different minimum value-added amounts and extension days. After successful value addition, please check your recharge card’s latest balance and expiration date. The default effective period for value addition or renewal is within 1 month after successful payment. Customers must ensure that the Lucky SIM phone number does not become inactive before the expiration date.

Customers can choose the porting date and effective time (3 am / 2 pm). It is possible to apply for number porting around the expiration date, both before and after. If porting to Lucky SIM before contract completion, your existing telecom provider may charge you for the remaining contract fees. If porting after contract completion, customers must ensure that the number is still valid.

Typically, porting a few days before the expiration date or contract completion date is advisable to avoid additional fees for the next billing cycle (actual charges and considerations are recommended to be checked with the current telecom provider).

For added security, Lucky SIM suggests customers not wait until the last day to port but preferably initiate the process five days before the porting date. Lucky SIM will only know if the porting is successful at the time of the porting. If the first attempt fails, there is time to try again before the deadline. Some customers may prefer to port just before or on the expiration day, depending on their needs.

Regarding porting applications, it is recommended to make the payment in advance, as the application and card sending process may take some time. Otherwise, there is a possibility that the porting process is completed, but you still need to wait for the card to arrive. Each customer’s application situation is different, so if you have any questions, it is advisable to inquire about the porting and card sending process from the relevant specialist before making the payment.

  1. Explanation of Real-name Registration for Phone Smart Cards

    The regulation stipulates that starting from March 1, 2022, users of phone smart cards must begin the real-name registration process with their respective telecommunications service providers.

    All newly issued phone smart cards (including those for monthly subscription services and phone prepaid cards) must complete real-name registration before activating the service. Existing phone prepaid card users must complete real-name registration with their respective telecommunications service providers by February 23, 2023, at the latest. Existing phone prepaid cards that have not completed real-name registration will not be able to continue usage after the specified deadline. As for existing monthly subscription service users, unless they “transfer” or open a new phone number, there is no need for additional registration.

    The real-name registration system applies to all phone smart cards issued by local telecommunications service providers and used for person-to-person communication within the local area.

    Answer: After successful registration, telecommunications service providers typically send a short message notification to phone prepaid card users.
